When three boys from Chile visit the Berlin Wall they find a magic coin slot which sucks them into a Game-World ruled by the evil Little Miss Mainstream. In order to get back to reality they have to become true Rockstars!

Making-Of

The chilenean rockband “Scomic” was transformed into videogame characters in this music video by studioNICE. Created in a retro 3d-Look the band has to turn enemies into fans to battle their way towards the rock-olympus.

Design-Entwicklung: Character-Design
Die Band als grafisch stilisierte Entwürfe, die bereits den polygonal-eckigen Character der 3d-Figuren visualisieren.

Design-Entwicklung: Colour Moods
Farbige Entwürfe zun den Sets dienen als Referenz für die Entwicklung von Formsprache und Farbgebung der unterschiedlichen Welten. Zudem sind sie Anhaltspunkte für die Lichtsetzung und das Compositing.

Studio Shooting
Einige Referenzaufnahmen der Band wurden im angrenzenden FrogFish Studio gedreht. Hier entstanden sowohl das offizielle Fotoshooting der Band als auch gedrehte Komponenten für das Musikvideo.

Umsetzung als 3d-Figur: 3d Modelling
“Little Miss Mainstream” auf ihrem Thron – was jetzt noch grau ist erscheint im richtigen Licht als kleines, diabolisches Computerspiel-Monster.
