Tabaluga und die Zeichen der Zeit

Through it’s more than 30 years the ‘Tabaluga’-Franchise became one of the most iconic beacons of german kids-entertainment. Created by rockstar Peter Maffay, Rolf Zuckowski and Gregor Rottschalk, ‘Tabaluga’ first became a kids’s book featuring the wonderful illustrations of Helme Heine. Later it became a TV-Series and an award-winning musical with over 300.000 spectators. studioNICE had the honor of being part of creating the first adaptation of ‘Tabaluga’ for the very big screen. Produced by ‘the content dome’ and ‘frogfish studios’, “Tabaluga und die Zeichen der Zeit” is a 61-minute 4k – 360° full-dome show. In a record-breaking 6 months production frame our Team at studioNICE co-directed the film, developed the look and adapted the feel of the original illustrations for an immersive cinematic experience. We were responsible for the creation of nearly two-dozens characters, 8 extensive sets and mass-sequences besides vast visual effects.
